PanelSight changelog
What changed in each version of PanelSight, newest first. The app checks for new versions on its own, tells you when one is out, and installs it with one click from Settings.

- Custom layouts for extra monitors:
- Added a Layouts window to choose, per aircraft, what each extra monitor shows, and an editor to build your own layouts, with snapping and a plain warning when a layout has errors and will not be shown.
- The TBM 930, Citation Longitude, and PC-12 NGX can now place their touch controllers in a layout.
- Settings now lists each connected extra monitor with its default layout.
- Added a Glass 4 position for extra monitors, so the PC-12 NGX's touch controller can have a monitor of its own.
- Bezels:
- Gave the GNS 430 its own bezel instead of the GNS 530's, with a screen that fills the frame and no dead VNAV key.
- TBM 930, Vision Jet, and Citation Longitude: removed the empty strip under the screens, making the screens a little bigger and the soft keys shorter.
- TBM 930 autopilot bar: moved LVL inside the bar and made it the right colour, and lit modes now show a white bar beside their key, as in the aircraft.
- Fixes:
- Vision Jet: restored the outer ring and push on the touch controller's frequency knob, and the push on its MENU/DATA knob.
- Twin Otter: stopped showing an empty GNS 530 frame that MSFS never fills.

- New autopilot controls:
- Cirrus Vision Jet: Added the autopilot and autothrottle controllers.
- XCub, NXCub, and Draco X: Added the Garmin GMC 507.
- TBM 930 and King Air 350i: Added the glareshield autopilot bar.
- PC-12 NGX: Added the Honeywell guidance panel.
- Radios & instruments:
- Added the Bendix/King KX 155 nav/com radio to the C152, C185F, and DR400, as well as the DR400's missing CDI.
- Added 6-PACK and NAV tabs to the Instrument Switcher on the C152, C185F, and DR400.
- Fixes:
- Fixed the autopilot UP/DN/VNV keys on the G1000 PFD for the Bonanza G36, DA40, DA62, Corvalis, and C208B Grand Caravan.
- Touch improvements:
- Enlarged all interaction areas to make them easier to tap on touchscreens.
- Updated knob dragging so it turns based on touch distance at a constant rate, allowing continuous turning with straight swipes.
- Redesigned the + and − step buttons to clearly look like interactive buttons rather than static labels.
- User interface improvements:
- Added a subtle light edge to every panel to improve contrast against dark cockpits.
- Deferred automatic update checks until the simulator closes so update notices appear when visible.

- Revamped the Settings window.
- Since it's grown quite a bit, added scrolling instead of cutting off content that doesn't fit.
- Added a real minimize button (to the title bar), which the window never had.
- Added Exit, Restart, and Check for Updates buttons.
- Renamed the Minimize to tray button to Close to tray.
- Added a Re-open pop-outs button beside Close all pop-outs, which until now was a one-way door: the screens stayed closed until the aircraft was reloaded or the app restarted.
- Replaced the secondary-screen roles (PFD, MFD) with positions: Glass 1, Glass 2, Glass 3, also renamed the PFD/MFD switcher to Instrument Switcher, both to avoid sloppy nomenclature.
- Fixed press-and-hold with a finger on the knob interaction area, which acted as a tap regardless of how long it was held.
- Fixed the keys under the knob interaction area going dead for a couple of seconds on touch screens after tapping to dismiss it.
- Made the frequency knob on the G3000 and G5000 touchscreen controller swap standby and active while you hold it, instead of when you let go.

- Revamped knob interaction on touch screens.
- A tap now leaves the interaction area open until you tap elsewhere (it used to close on a timeout).
- Added +/- buttons that advance exactly one step, making up for the missing feel of a physical detent.
- Added a click as knobs turn, with its own volume control.
- Fixed an error that sometimes made the interaction area comically oversized.
- Fixed a single tap acting twice on touch screens, which made some controls toggle on and straight back off.
- Fixed the GNS 430/530 range rocker and the GNS CLR key: short press and press-and-hold now work.
- Let an aircraft whose only display is a GNS 430 fill the PFD slot, and stopped a mid-flight change blanking that screen.
- Gave the King Air 350i's two G3X displays their own PFD and MFD slots, so both can be put on a monitor and neither collapses out of the instrument switcher.
- Added gauge knobs: altimeter Kollsman drum and baro knob, CDI OBS knobs, and a directional gyro heading knob — turn to correct drift, push to align to magnetic.
- Made update checks run hourly instead of only once at startup.
