Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 July 2026

Thanks for using PanelSight. These terms explain, in plain language, what you're buying, what you can do with it, and where our responsibility ends. By installing or using PanelSight you agree to them.

1. Who we are

PanelSight is developed by:

If Not Now When Software Studio
C/ Lepant 270, Baixos, 08013 Barcelona, Spain
NIF: 46970333D
Email: contact@panelsight.net

We're the licensor of the software and referred to as "we" or "us" below. You, the person using the software, are "you". Purchases themselves are handled by Polar as merchant of record (see section 6).

2. What PanelSight is (and isn't)

PanelSight is a companion overlay for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It reads live flight data from the simulator and displays your aircraft's instruments as an on-screen panel.

A few important things it is not:

  • It is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Microsoft, Asobo Studio, Garmin, Textron Aviation, Cessna, De Havilland, Daher, Rockwell Collins, or any other simulator, aircraft, or avionics company. All trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
  • It is a game accessory, not an aviation tool. Never use PanelSight for real-world flight, navigation, or flight training of any kind.

3. What you need

PanelSight is an add-on, not a standalone program. To use it you need:

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on a Windows PC — sold separately.
  • An occasional internet connection, for license validation (see section 8).

Flight simulation setups vary enormously, and it is your responsibility to verify, during the free trial, that PanelSight works with your system and the aircraft you fly. The trial is the complete product precisely so you can check this before paying.

4. Your license

When you buy a license, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use PanelSight on one machine at a time. You don't own the software itself — you own the right to use it.

You may not:

  • Share, sell, rent, or publish your license key.
  • Use the same license key on more than one computer at the same time.
  • Use one personal license for a business, flight school, or other commercial setting (contact us if you need that — we're friendly).
  • Copy, modify, or redistribute the software, or remove or bypass the license check or trial limits.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the software, except to the limited extent that laws such as the EU Software Directive expressly allow (for example, for interoperability, where those rights cannot be waived).

5. Free trial and the free Cessna 172

PanelSight comes with a free 7-day trial with full functionality — every aircraft and every feature. No payment details are needed to try it. Use the trial to confirm that PanelSight works with your system and aircraft (see section 3).

When the trial ends, the Cessna 172 keeps working: its instrument overlay remains free of charge, with no license needed. Every other aircraft — and any advanced features we add over time, such as multi-monitor support — require a valid license, and stop working when the trial ends until you enter one.

One trial per person/machine — resetting the trial by technical tricks isn't allowed.

6. Buying a license

Licenses are sold through Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), which acts as the merchant of record. This means your purchase contract is with Polar: they handle the checkout, payment processing, applicable taxes (VAT, GST, etc.), invoicing, and delivery of your license key, under Polar's Buyer Terms. We never see your payment details.

What Polar sells you is the license to use PanelSight — and that license is granted by us, under these terms.

7. Refunds and the right of withdrawal

Thinking about a refund? Email us at support@panelsight.net: most problems turn out to be fixable, and if a refund is the answer, we'll issue it ourselves. The EU 14-day right of withdrawal, where it applies, is honored the same way.

The free trial gives you 7 full days to test the complete product before paying, so you can make sure it works for you first. After you buy, the legal guarantee of conformity applies (see section 10): if PanelSight has a genuine defect, we'll fix it. If a significant defect can't be fixed, the remedies the law provides apply — a price reduction or, in serious cases, a refund.

8. License validation and internet connection

PanelSight validates your license online when it starts, and includes an offline grace period so that a dropped connection never locks you out of a flight. You do need an internet connection at least occasionally for validation to succeed. The validation sends only what's needed to check the license (your key and a machine identifier) — see Privacy below.

If we ever discontinue PanelSight or its license validation service, we will release a final update that removes the license check, so the software you paid for keeps working. Fixes like this — and license validation in general — are delivered through updates, so you must keep PanelSight updated to the latest released version; older versions may stop validating.

9. Updates and compatibility

  • We aim to keep PanelSight working with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and to add improvements over time, but we don't guarantee compatibility forever. Simulator updates, aircraft updates, or avionics changes made by third parties can break features until we release a fix — or, in some cases, permanently, if the third party removes something we depend on.
  • Updates are provided at our discretion. A license covers PanelSight version 1.x — that is, all updates and fixes within the 1.0 series. Future major versions (2.0 and beyond) may be sold as separate products, possibly with upgrade pricing for existing customers.
  • Supported aircraft and features are those listed on our website at the time of purchase. Third-party or future aircraft may or may not be supported.

10. Warranty and liability

  • We provide PanelSight with the legal guarantee of conformity that applies to consumers under Spanish and EU law.
  • Beyond that, PanelSight is provided "as is". Flight simulation setups vary enormously (hardware, drivers, add-ons, sim versions), and we can't promise it will run flawlessly on every configuration.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses (lost time, lost sim progress, other software misbehaving, etc.). Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any right, or excludes any liability (such as for fraud or willful misconduct), that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded.

11. Privacy

We collect as little as possible:

  • Purchase data (name, email, billing country, payment details) — collected and processed by Polar as merchant of record, under Polar's own privacy policy. We receive from Polar only what's needed to issue and manage your license (typically your email and order reference).
  • License validation data (license key, a machine identifier, IP address as part of the connection) — used only to check that your license is valid and to prevent abuse.
  • App usage statistics — basic usage milestones (installs, trials, activations, whether the app is in use), reported so we can understand how PanelSight is adopted and improve it. You can turn these off in the app's settings.
  • PanelSight does not collect your flight data or telemetry about how you fly — the usage statistics above record only that the app was used, never what or how you flew. Nothing from your simulator leaves your machine beyond what's displayed locally on your screen.

Data is processed in accordance with the GDPR. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing contact@panelsight.net. Full details are in our Privacy Notice.

12. Termination

We may deactivate a license if it is clearly being abused — for example, a key being shared publicly or used to bypass the licensing system. If we ever have to do this, we'll tell you why, and honest customers caught up by mistake will always be sorted out.

You can stop using PanelSight at any time by uninstalling it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time (for example, when we add features or change payment providers). Changes apply from the date they're published and won't retroactively take away anything you've already paid for. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll flag it in the app or by email.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer in another EU country, you also keep any mandatory protections of your home country's law, and you can bring disputes before your local courts.

The EU online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr — though we'd rather you just email us first.

15. Final provisions

If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force. We may transfer these terms and your license to a successor (for example, if PanelSight incorporates as a company or the product changes hands) — your rights under them stay the same. Your own license remains personal and non-transferable (section 4).

16. Contact and support

Questions, problems, refunds, or anything else: support@panelsight.net.

Support is provided by email, in English, Catalan and Spanish, on a reasonable-efforts basis. We usually reply quickly, but we can't guarantee response times, and support covers the latest released version of PanelSight.

PanelSight is an independent add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and is not affiliated with Microsoft, Asobo Studio, or Garmin.
