Privacy Notice
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This notice explains how If Not Now When Software Studio ("we") handles your personal data when you use this website, sign up for updates, buy a PanelSight license, or use the PanelSight app. We keep data collection to the bare minimum and never sell it.
Who is responsible
If Not Now When Software Studio, the developer of PanelSight (C/ Lepant 270, Baixos, 08013 Barcelona, Spain — NIF 46970333D), is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For any privacy question or request, email contact@panelsight.net.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address — only if you enter it in the sign-up form. We use it to send you commercial communications about PanelSight: product availability and launch updates, new features and releases, and related news and offers.
- Basic technical data — our hosting provider may process limited information such as your IP address and browser type in server logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don't use this to identify or profile you.
The PanelSight app and purchases
- Purchase data (name, email, billing country, payment details) is collected and processed by Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), our checkout provider and merchant of record, under Polar's privacy policy. From Polar we receive only what we need to issue and manage your license — typically your email address and order reference. We never see your payment details.
- License validation data — when the PanelSight app starts, it sends your license key and a machine identifier to our validation service, to check that your license is valid and to prevent abuse; your IP address is visible as part of that connection. We keep this data while your license is active.
- App usage statistics — the app reports basic usage milestones (such as installation, trial and license activation, and a once-a-day signal that the app is in use, with its version) so we can understand how PanelSight is adopted and improve it. Your license key itself is never included. These reports go to Umami, the same analytics service we use on this website, and you can turn them off at any time in the app's settings.
- The app does not collect your flight data or telemetry about how you fly — the usage statistics above record only that the app was used, never what or how you flew.
Legal basis
We process your email on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the form. Technical/security processing relies on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a safe website. License validation is processed because it's necessary to perform the license agreement (Art. 6(1)(b)), and abuse prevention relies on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). App usage statistics rely on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding how PanelSight is adopted and improving it.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your data, and we only ever share it with service providers acting as processors on our behalf — currently the email-delivery provider we use to store the sign-up list and send our emails. We'll update this notice if those providers change.
Polar, as merchant of record, is a separate controller of your purchase data: your contract of sale is with Polar, and its privacy policy applies to the checkout.
Separately, when you load this website your IP address is necessarily visible to the services that deliver and measure it — our host (GitLab Pages), Google Fonts (which serves the site's typefaces), Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami (Umami Software, Inc. — both cookieless visitor statistics; Umami also receives the app usage statistics described above), and YouTube (Google), which serves the demo video embedded on our homepage. These receive technical data only; your email address is never shared with them.
How long we keep it
We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed to these updates. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time, and we'll remove it promptly.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. For visitor statistics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami, chosen for their privacy-first approach: they measure visits without setting cookies. If you play the demo video on our homepage, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy. The only other browser storage used is functional (for example, remembering on your own device that you've already signed up).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw your consent at any time (which won't affect processing already carried out). To exercise any of these, email contact@panelsight.net.
If you believe we've mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your local supervisory authority.
