PanelSight 1.1.0: choose what each extra monitor shows

PanelSight 1.1.0 is about extra monitors. You can now choose, for each aircraft, what each extra monitor shows, and build your own layouts when none of the built-in ones is what you want.

Custom layouts for extra monitors

In Settings, under Secondary screens, click Custom layouts… to open the Layouts window. It lets you choose, for each aircraft, what each extra monitor shows. Its editor lets you build your own layouts. Instruments snap into place as you move them, and if a layout has an error, the editor tells you in plain words. A layout with errors is not shown.

Settings now lists each connected extra monitor together with its default layout, so you can see how each monitor is set up.

Touch controllers can go in a layout too, on the TBM 930, Citation Longitude and PC-12 NGX. A new Glass 4 position means the PC-12 NGX's touch controller can have a monitor of its own.

Better bezels

The GNS 430 now has its own bezel instead of the GNS 530's. Its screen fills the frame, and there is no longer a VNAV key that does nothing.

On the TBM 930, Vision Jet and Citation Longitude, the empty strip under the screens is gone. The screens are a little bigger, and the soft keys are shorter.

On the TBM 930 autopilot bar, LVL is now inside the bar and in the right color. Active modes show a white bar next to their key, as in the real aircraft.

Fixes

On the Vision Jet, the outer ring and the push action of the touch controller's frequency knob work again, and so does the push on the MENU/DATA knob. On the Twin Otter, PanelSight no longer shows an empty GNS 530 frame that MSFS never fills.

Who this is for

• If you fly with one or more extra monitors, custom layouts let you put the instruments you want on the monitor you want.
• If you fly the TBM 930, Citation Longitude or PC-12 NGX, you can now put the touch controller on a monitor as part of a layout.
• If you use the GNS 430, or fly the TBM 930, Vision Jet or Twin Otter, the bezel changes and fixes above change what you see.

How to update

PanelSight checks for new versions by itself. When one is out, a notice appears next to the PanelSight icon in the Windows taskbar. Click the notice, then click Update now in Settings. PanelSight downloads the update, installs it and starts again on its own. You can also run the installer from the download page again.

Updating always installs the newest version, which includes everything in this release.
